Jimmy was appointed as General Counsel & Group Data Protection Officer in 2022 having joined WPP Scangroup Plc in 2017. Prior to this he had spent time working at Bowmans (Coulson Harney LLP), Capital Markets Authority and had a stint in 2021 at Allianz Africa Holdings GmbH as regional legal counsel and Ag. Head of Legal at Jubilee Allianz General Insurance (K) Limited. Jimmy is a permanent invitee to the Board, Board Audit & Risk committee, and the Board Nomination & Remuneration committee. He is also a director in some of Scangroup’s subsidiary companies board.

Jimmy, an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Commissioner of Oaths and Notary Public with over 10 years working experience holds a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB, Hons) from the University of Nairobi. He has completed the Black Executive Leadership Program by McKinsey & Company. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Kenya Rugby Union where he serves as the Team Manager of the Kenya XVs senior men’s team.
